Iluk House is a rustic villa in Thalaramba, a charming fishing village—only a 5-minute drive away from the ever-popular Mirissa.

The villa inherits its almost-poetic name from spear grass, also known as 'iluk'. The glory of its entire roof stays in shape with the help of timber and iluk—the combination that blends the necessary lumber with the deciduous spear grass. This interior instalment makes vacay under the Iluk House roof cosy, exotic and rare.

Being a family-owned business, we wanted to create something that gives the comfort and warmth of a home away from home. The Illuk House, located 50 meters from the tip of the Indian Ocean, is surrounded by swaying coconut palms, breathtaking waterfronts with every common space facing the ocean. The newly established villa in 2021 is reminiscent of a home-like feeling, not only simply due to its tropical traits; the rustic setup is also the one to thank.
